From a proud Army mom.

My son, SGT Greggory Baker, joined the Army on 9/11/01. After watching the horrors that occurred that morning, he went to the Army recruiters that afternoon after class (he was in his freshman year of college) and enlisted. He left for basic training on Jan 16th, 2002 then AIT followed for his MOS (job) in military intel. His first assignment was with the 259th Military Intel Battalion at Ft Shafter, Hawaii. That unit deployed in September 2005 to Camp Slayer, Baghdad, Iraq for 12 months....

In memory of Capt. Das and Maj. Watkins.

Hello my name is David Dustin Henry. I am a Staff Sergeant in the USAF. I received one of your Hero Bracelets from my Mom for Christmas. I wear the bracket now in honor of my fall-in aircrew. During Operation Iraqi Freedom, I launched my aircraft 88-1694 for the first time with Capt. Eric "Boots" Das and Maj. William "Salty" Watkins. I had performed major hydraulic maintenance on the aircraft the day prior. I launched the jet on that night the same way I did during the entire war but their je...

Wearing a Memorial HeroBracelet

For some time now, Margery has been wearing a randomly chosen memorial HeroBracelet in the name of Phillip I. Spakosky. She has just written us to tell us her thoughts.... I did some research on Philip I. Spakosky from Brown Mills, NJ and learned that he was very interested in Law Enforcement. He unfortunately was killed by a sniper in May of 2004. I am a Veteran myself and so this was an easy decision for me to make. I wore POW bracelets during the Vietnam conflict and proudly wear Philip's ...

Wore his HeroBracelet every day...

My husband deployed overseas and we wanted something to wear 24/7 so that he was always with us.  I had spotted a HeroBracelet on a young girl at a fourth of July celebration and she was very eager to share with me on how I could place an order for some for our loved ones. I went home that evening and ordered a few to share with my family and friends.  The website was incredibly easy to use and we received them in no time at all. We wore them every day he was deployed.  We prayed for his safe...

One of the tanks in my husband's troop had hit a sink hole and was half way submerged in water and mud trapping the driver.  My husband and the rest ...

An Angel on my shoulder...

I wear a memorial bracelet in honor of my Uncle Carl Andrew Brannen Jr., who was killed on May 9, 1945. He was a crewmember of a Navy PB4Y (Liberator) crew that was shot down on a bombing mission near Ichi Jima between Tinian and the Japanese homeland. Carl Andrew, Andy, was 19 years old. He was in the V12 pilot's training program and was anxious that the war would end before he could get into the fight, so he transferred out of that program into a PB4Y squadron that needed enlisted flight cr...
