I teach a high school American history class and ordered your KIA bracelets (you call them HeroBracelets) for my class. We studied the war, what led up to it and those who fought it. I wanted my students to have the KIA bracelets and to learn about the men and women who's names are there. I think it's been a great lesson for them. Thank you for providing such a valuable service. And I'm quite impressed with the quality of these memorial bracelets.

This morning I went into your web site and placed the orders for the five local American Hero's that gave their lives so that others may live in peace. We are a group of small towns in rural Pennsylvania that have lost 5 good men since this war against terrorism began. I know that these Gold Star Families will cherish these bracelets. I would like to thank Mr Skahan and Mr. Dixon for their donations for these memorial bracelets.
As I explained in my earlier e-mail I am a member of the Patr...

MILWAUKEE - After Tracy Jopek gave Sen. Barack Obama a bracelet in honor of her son who was killed in Iraq, she asked Obama not to mention the bracelet on the campaign trail.
But Jopek told The Associated Press on Sunday that she's satisfied with how Obama discussed it during last week's presidential debate.
Jopek gave Obama the bracelet at a Green Bay rally in February. It has the name of her son, Sgt. Ryan David Jopek...

The last bracelet I ordered from you was the deployed hero
kind. The copper color was great and it was really comfortable. But
after wearing it daily for a year I decided it was time for an
upgrade. So this time I ordered your new desert camo color, and I
LOVE it. I'm not big on wearing camo, but I thought it would be a
nice change and I'm really glad I did. The gold color with the
copper and black makes it obvious that I'm supporting my soldier, but
is also beautiful enough to not look ...

I ordered several of your memorial KIA bracelets. Pretty powerful statement. I wear one now with the name of a Marine from Texas. I looked up a memorial about him and I'm proud to be helping carry on his memory, even though I never met him.
Thanks for making this possible for me. I've given the other bracelets to a couple friends at work. They wear them every day.

In May 1918 President Wilson approved the suggestion of the Women's Committee of National Defenses. It recommended that American women should wear a black band on the upper left arm, adorned with a gold star. Each star representing a family member who had given his or her life for their country. This was suggested in lieu of conventional mourning attire.
The "star" tradition began in WW I when white Service Flags were displayed from homes, business, schools and churches to indicate, by the us...
